Meet Your Counselor

As a professional mental health counselor, Thomala brings over 20 years of experience helping parents, families, faculty and staff navigate personal, educational and career journeys. Her clinical experience is in psychotherapy, personal counseling, career planning/transitions with clients who are addressing anxiety, depression, addiction, family issues and social/emotional development concerns. She works with children, adolescents and adults using individual and group therapy. Her therapeutics strengths center is increasing self-awareness, acceptance of our emotional experiences and building a relationship with the inner Self.

Her approach integrates cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness techniques, trauma-informed care, and person-centered counseling to support emotional wellness and long-term growth.
